1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Chemmatrix ("we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the Arrows Maniac CTX mobile game (the "App") and this website.
The App is a single-player puzzle game. It has no user accounts, and it does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. A small amount of technical data is collected automatically by the Google services the App uses, as described below.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information stored only on your device
The App saves your game progress on your device so you can pick up where you left off. This includes your current and highest unlocked level, stars, score, coins, hints, daily streak, and settings such as sound, music, haptics and theme. This data stays on your device. We do not upload it to our own servers, and it is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the App, the following data is collected automatically through the third-party services listed in Section 4:
- Device and app identifiers: the Android Advertising ID, Firebase installation ID and app instance ID.
- Gameplay and usage events: for example, which levels you start and complete, your stars and score for a level, session length and screens viewed.
- Crash and performance data: crash reports, stack traces, the app version, device model, operating system version, and the device state at the time of a crash.
- Device and network information: device type, OS version, language, time zone, and IP address. Our ad and analytics partners may use the IP address to estimate a general location, such as your country or city.
- Ad interaction data: which ads were shown, and whether you viewed or tapped them, or completed a rewarded video.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, payment details, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, or precise GPS location. The App has no in-app purchases.
3. How we use information
- To run the game and save your progress and preferences.
- To show ads that keep the App free, including optional rewarded videos (for example, to get a hint, continue after losing all lives, or double your coins).
- To understand how players use the App, such as which levels are too hard or too easy, so we can improve it.
- To find and fix crashes and technical problems.
- To update game settings remotely (for example, ad settings or the privacy notice) without requiring an app update.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Third-party services
The App uses the following services, all provided by Google. Each one processes data under its own privacy policy.
| Service | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Showing banner, full-screen and rewarded video ads | Advertising ID, IP address, device info, ad interactions |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Usage analytics | App instance ID, gameplay events, device info |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting | Crash logs, device and OS info, installation ID |
| Firebase Remote Config | Remote game and ad settings | Firebase installation ID, app version |
| Cloud Firestore | Reading app configuration (the App does not store player data here) | Standard request data, such as IP address |
| Google Play Services | In-app updates, plus required services for the above | Device and app info |

5. Advertising
The App is free to play and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and other information to show personalized ads, limit how often you see an ad, and measure ad performance.
To control ad personalization on Android: open Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device). From there you can delete your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads. You will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Rewarded video ads are always optional. You choose whether to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward.
6. Device permissions
- Internet and network state: required to play, load ads, fetch settings and send analytics and crash reports. The App checks your connection and asks you to reconnect if you are offline.
- Vibrate: used for haptic feedback during gameplay. You can turn it off in the App's Settings.
- Advertising ID (
AD_ID): used by AdMob as described in Section 5.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, storage, photos or location.
7. Data retention
- Game progress stays on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
- Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics (up to 14 months), then deleted automatically.
- Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
- Advertising data is kept by Google according to Google's retention policy.
8. Security
Data sent between the App and Google's services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We rely on Google's industry-standard security for data stored on their servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the App, please contact us using the details below, and we will help delete it.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you, or get a copy of it;
- correct or delete your personal data;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including personalized advertising;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
Easy options you control right now:
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your Android settings.
- Uninstall the App, or clear its data, to remove all saved progress from your device.
- Email us to ask us to delete the analytics and crash data linked to your app instance.
Because the App has no accounts, we may ask for your Firebase app instance ID or other details to locate your data. We will respond within 30 days.
11. International transfers
Google may process data in the United States and other countries where it operates. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the App. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the updated policy.
